Banganga Maha-Aarti 2025 on the auspicious occasion of Tripurari Purnima
Organized by GSB Temple Trust, Mumbai
Tripurari Purnima falls on the full moon day of Kartik month (October-November), celebrated as Kartik Purnima. It is considered one of the holiest days in the Hindu calendar for spiritual practices and offerings.
On this day, Lord Shiva destroyed the three cities (Tripura) of the demons, hence the name 'Tripurari' (enemy of Tripura). This victory represents the triumph of divine power over evil forces.
Also known as Dev-Deepawali, it is believed that on this day, the Gods descend to Earth to bathe in sacred waters. Millions of diyas are lit to welcome the divine and seek blessings for prosperity and spiritual growth.
